“Great are the Manifestations of Ra”

I am a scribe. I write Ancient Words on papyrus sourced from Egypt. I research and reconstruct ancient artefacts.

I also draw, paint and design. So if you are looking for something a bit special, unique and authentic you have found it.

Each piece is carefully researched using original sources.

Each piece created is unique. I do not use mechanical processes to replicate text, but I do try to draw on primary sources wherever possible. Every piece is scribed by hand, by me, on hand made papyrus.

Where possible I use natural inks, with a variety of dip nib pens and water based paints to recreate the shapes, vibrancy and life of the original texts.

You will see variations in the colour and texture of the papyrus and variations in the script which reflect the unique properties of each item. Please note this site is very much under construction. You will see changes often here as I juggle “real world” work and studying Egyptology at the University of Manchester with my artistic output.
